Booking
Each member can reserve planes on a first come first serve basis using an app called Hold Short.
Pricing
- Membership Pricing:
Cloud Hopper Aviation flying club annual membership dues are $3900. This give you access to all planes. - Cessna 152: $50 per hour dry
- Piper Cherokee: $70 per hour dry
- Cessna 182: $90 per hour dry
Location
All planes are hangered at KIYA’s fbo Vector Aviation. FBO staff pulls planes out ahead of your reservation and have keys to the plane waiting when you arrive. Upon returning from your flight, planes are refueled and stowed back in the hangar.
Training
Club members are allowed to use club planes for recurrent training as well as training for advanced rating and endorsements. A list of approved flight instructors is available upon request. The Cessna 152 may be used by student pilots to earn the private pilot certificate with club instructors.
Membership requirements
A minimum of a private pilot certificate is required to join. The Cessna 152 is the exception, it may be used by student pilots. A 3 hr checkout will be required in the Piper Cherokee. The Cessna 182 requires a minimum of 100 hrs total time, 10 hrs dual instruction as well as a high performance and complex endorsement.
